Ледовые скульптуры в Германии
Visitors braced themselves for a freezing tour around Elstal's third Ice World, on Friday.
Artists from around the world have constructed an extravagant ice exhibition at the Erlebnis-Dorf Elstal amusement park. Member of Karl's Ice world team Leif Steinmeier explained that the artists "took around 17 days to build this wonderful Eiswelt according to the theme 'Karlchen auf Weltreise' [Charlie on a trip around the world]."
Mascot Charlie can be seen in several famous cities including Berlin, alongside German Chancellor Angela Merkel, in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris and among ballerinas outside Moscow's St. Basil's cathedral.
One visitor said that despite the cold the exhibition was "breathtaking." He stated, "it is wonderful to look around particularly of course for the kids, who view it as if it were a fascinating small ice dream world."
